• Lead and mentor a team of transmission planning and interconnection study engineers • Own client relationships and delivery of interconnection, stability, and reliability studies • Oversee power flow, voltage stability, transient stability, and short-circuit analyses • Conduct generator and load interconnection, transmission planning, and economic analyses • Prepare and review technical reports • Ensure deliverables meet client specifications for reliability, regulation, and quality • Manage project scope, staffing, cost, and schedule across concurrent engagements • Contribute hands-on to complex or high-impact studies • Partner with global colleagues to scale capacity and deliver consistent, high-quality work • Drive business development through proposals, engagement scoping, and identifying client opportunities • Represent E Source with utilities, IPPs, and ISOs • Translate technical findings for executive audiences • Support grid reliability, renewable integration, and grid modernization for utility clients
• 10+ years of power systems analysis experience, including 3+ years leading engineers, projects, or client engagements • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering • Deep proficiency with PSS/E for load-flow and transient stability analysis • Deep proficiency with ASPEN for short-circuit analysis • Experience with at least one additional planning tool such as PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, or DSA Tools • Proven experience leading stability studies, congestion analysis and cost modeling, or cluster feasibility studies across one or more ISOs • Working knowledge of synchronous generators, motors, power electronic inverters, wind turbines, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) • Working knowledge of reliability standards, interconnection processes, substation layout, and protection and control • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver on time and within budget • Strong oral and written communication skills • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US or Canada • Prior consulting or client-facing power systems experience is an advantage • Master’s or Ph.D. in power systems engineering is an advantage • Experience across multiple ISOs, open-source tools, or published technical writing is an advantage
