📋 Description

• Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings • Conduct investigations to determine and document the scope of damage • Investigate and assess damages due to failures and determine the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support • Analyze and document failure analysis and causation of failures • Collaborate with Fire Investigators to produce detailed reports outlining causes and origins of losses and damages • Serve as an expert witness in court and/or depositions • Document and maintain billable hours on a time and expense basis for forensic engineering projects • Collaborate with EFI’s national team of forensic experts on projects • Deliver comprehensive engineering analyses to clients across a range of industries

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida is required • Six (6) years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required • Hands-on experience determining causes of structural failure • Experience with storm and roof damage assessments • Experience with building envelope investigations • Experience evaluating structural collapses • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods • Ability to kneel, squat, bend, stoop, reach/work overhead, climb, and crawl • Ability to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds • Ability to drive up to 4 hours per day
