📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex applications and integrations • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications and database queries • Develop technical documentation, including Knowledge Base articles and SOPs, for business and support teams • Understand functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs • Support, maintain, and enhance critical mainframe applications • Act as a technical lead and guide junior team members • Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests across waterfall and agile projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • 8+ years of specialized technical experience • Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies • Experience with version control systems and software development tools • Experience with enterprise-level ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Service Manager • Experience working on waterfall and agile methodology projects • Ability to handle incidents, service requests, and change requests simultaneously • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • US Citizen or US Green Card Holder
