📋 Description

• Perform distribution planning studies, including load flow, voltage analysis, contingency analysis, capacity assessments, and system reliability evaluations • Support long-term distribution system plans and identify infrastructure improvements required to support forecasted load growth • Assist with utility construction work plans, capital improvement plans, and system reinforcement programs • Perform arc flash studies, protection coordination studies, and fault current analyses • Develop and maintain distribution system models using CYME, Synergi, WindMil, ASPEN, or similar platforms • Support load forecasting and system capacity analysis efforts • Coordinate with distribution design, substation, protection, data solutions, and operations teams • Support client-facing project work, including technical discussions, study reviews, and engineering deliverables • Help utilities improve reliability, safety, and system performance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field • 2+ years of experience in electric utility or distribution planning • Experience with distribution modeling and engineering analysis tools (e.g. CYME, Synergi, ASPEN, WindMil, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CAPE, PSS/E, PSCAD) • Familiarity with load flow analysis, voltage studies, fault current analysis, reliability studies, or protection coordination • Strong analytical, organization, and communication skills • Ability to travel up to 5% as required to support clients and projects • EIT or ability to obtain • Experience supporting distribution planning studies, construction work plans, or capital planning initiatives • Familiarity with load forecasting tools such as LoadSEER • Exposure to arc flash studies and protective device coordination • Experience with data analysis, automation, or scripting tools • Exposure to grid modernization, reliability improvement, or asset management initiatives
