📋 Description

• Own end-to-end delivery by designing, building, testing, and shipping full-stack features • Contribute to technical design discussions, architectural decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives • Apply software development best practices, testing discipline, and impactful code reviews • Leverage AI-powered coding tools and workflows to accelerate development • Support continuous deployment and monitoring of production systems • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and partner with Product Management to define, design, and implement user features • Contribute to shared technical knowledge across the engineering team • Write clear, thorough, and accessible technical documentation for systems, workflows, and code changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field • 4+ years of professional full-stack experience building and maintaining web applications • Strong understanding of software design patterns and clean architecture principles • Strong frontend experience with React and responsive web applications • Backend experience with server-side code, data models/databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and GraphQL and REST APIs • Experience using AI developer tools and agentic workflows such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor, with strong prompting skills • Understanding of automated testing frameworks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience with Agile development methodologies • Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience is desirable but not required • Experience with AWS, Heroku, and DevOps concepts is a bonus • Experience with civic technology, public sector software, or strategic planning and performance management platforms is a bonus • Experience building accessible web applications is a bonus • Experience working in a distributed, remote team environment is a bonus
