📋 Description

• Own end-to-end delivery: design, build, test, and ship full-stack features • Contribute to technical design discussions, architectural decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives • Apply software development best practices, testing discipline, and code reviews • Leverage AI-powered coding tools and workflows to accelerate development • Support continuous deployment and monitoring of production systems • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and partner with Product Management on new user features • Contribute to shared technical knowledge across the engineering team • Write clear, thorough, and accessible technical documentation for systems, workflows, and code changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field • 4+ years of professional full-stack experience building and maintaining web applications • Strong understanding of software design patterns and clean architecture principles • Strong frontend experience building responsive web applications using React • Solid backend experience implementing server-side code, managing data models/databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and building APIs (GraphQL and REST) • Experience using AI developer tools and agentic workflows (eg. Copilot, Claude, or Cursor) with strong prompting skills • Understanding of automated testing frameworks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience with Agile development methodologies • Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails is highly desirable, but not required • Experience with AWS, Heroku, DevOps concepts • Experience with civic technology, public sector software, or strategic planning and performance management platforms • Experience building accessible web applications • Experience working in a distributed, remote team environment • Expected to work PST business hours
