📋 Description

• Implementing courses as designed by the University, including the completion of weekly tasks on a university-supplied checklist. • Bringing their own knowledge and expertise to bear on the subject matter. • Engaging regularly and substantively with students via email, announcements, and online discussion boards. • Providing timely, high-quality feedback on student work. • Holding regular virtual office hours. • Keeping the department chair apprised of any student or course issues. • Following University policies. • Completing University-required training and attending required pre-term meetings.

🎯 Requirements

• A master’s degree or higher in a relevant science field (biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, etc.) and a minimum of 15 graduate credits in any other disciplinary area where they will teach. • Doctorate preferred. • Experience teaching in an asynchronous online environment. • Experience with the Canvas learning management system preferred. • A student-centered teaching approach. • A commitment to supporting the success of all students, including those under-served by traditional higher education.
