• Lead EpiC’s vision and strategy through the final year of implementation and compliant closeout through December 2027 • Direct the project technical team and manage relationships with national and international partners and stakeholders • Hold overall programmatic and fiscal responsibility for the project • Execute overall project work plans and achieve project results • Direct and monitor final-year activities to meet professional, donor, and organizational requirements • Provide managerial oversight of project activities and closeout, including transition of activities to other mechanisms • Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and project-specific policies • Submit contractual deliverables and responses to donor requests on time and completely • Oversee technical assistance, administrative support, subcontract, and subgrant closeout activities • Resolve sub-award and contract implementation issues, modifications, compliance matters, disputes, and audit findings • Oversee project financial management systems, budget adherence, and financial deliverables with the Director of Finance • Supervise, mentor, motivate, and support project team performance and professional development • Create and maintain safe, equitable, harassment- and violence-free work environments and safeguarding systems • Build the team and support successful project completion during closeout • Oversee communication and execution of personnel policies • Serve as primary contact for the Department of State Grants Officer Representative • Ensure effective communication across the project and with internal and external stakeholders • Maintain partner and stakeholder networks and represent the project on steering and advisory groups
• Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Communication and Social Marketing, Economic Development, Education, Health, Nutrition, Research, Technology and Youth, or a related field • 15+ years of relevant experience with project management principles and practices, including 10+ years of strategic leadership and/or management experience • Minimum of 5+ years of Chief of Party, Principal Investigator, or Project Director experience on USG-funded global health projects • Proficient with USG rules, regulations, and policies associated with international development and NGOs • Demonstrated experience in multi-sector project management and implementation • Demonstrated strategic planning, staff development, and capacity-building experience • Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex, strategic, international projects • Experience operating in insecure environments • Demonstrated experience in successful closeout of USG-funded projects • Experience working in an NGO • Excellent management, communication, and organizational skills • Knowledge of nonprofit funding streams, including government and philanthropic funding • Strong negotiation, collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, time-management, multitasking, and organizational skills • Excellent public relations, policy development, project management, and diplomacy skills • Ability to motivate, influence, and collaborate across all organizational levels • Ability to build working relationships with local communities, district government officials, UN representatives, and donors • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English • Ability to travel 10%–25% • Project Management (PM) Certification preferred • Ability to use personal computer/laptop, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams, mobile technology, and standard office equipment • Ability to pass appropriate screening checks
