📋 Description

• Own machine-learning models end to end, from problem framing and design/RFC through training, deployment to a served endpoint, and production quality monitoring • Build model training pipelines and package models for serving on the shared platform operated by Data Engineering • Monitor model drift and performance and decide when to retrain • Conduct experimental design, statistical validation, drift detection, retraining, champion-challenger evaluation, and model promotion • Partner with Data Engineering, backend, product, and QA on data contracts, deployment, and rollout • Support attributes and enrichment, payments risk, dashboards, and client integrations • Develop and maintain transaction categorization, reversal detection, transaction NER, payments risk, balance forecasting, enrichment, and model-quality monitoring systems • Use AI-assisted development to accelerate implementation and experimentation while contributing strong problem framing, system design, evaluation rigor, and technical specifications

🎯 Requirements

• 6-8 years building and shipping machine-learning models, including taking models to production yourself • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field • Production-grade Python • Ability to take a model to a live, monitored service independently • Solid data-science and machine-learning foundation • Experience with training pipelines, served endpoints, monitoring, statistical validation, drift detection, champion-challenger evaluation, and retraining • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada • Experience with Python and SQL, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, PyTorch, HuggingFace, classical ML frameworks, MLflow, Kubeflow, FastAPI, containerized deployment, and Azure DevOps is relevant; exact-stack experience is not required
