📋 Description

• Build operational data pipelines and deliver fully documented datasets accounting for data integrations • Understand business partner needs and build data engineering solutions • Deliver well-architected data solutions in partnership with data platform engineering, data governance, data science, and data analytics/visualization peers • Partner with business teams to design data solutions • Mentor early-career data engineers • Lead the build-out and deployment of data pipelines • Ensure reliability, scalability, and governance of data pipelines • Report to the VP, Data Solutions Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs, Cloud, and data operations • Minimum seven years of experience in a growing data engineering role • At least five years of programming experience with Python and SQL • Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and modern data quality techniques • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills • Strong verbal and written skills • Domain knowledge of Actuarial, Investment and Finance within the Insurance/Reinsurance industry is a plus
