📋 Description

• Provide medical leadership and oversight across all phases of development, including early-phase innovation and late-phase global programs • Support development activities for proposed and ongoing projects in rheumatology and medical monitoring of assigned clinical studies • Serve as a key medical representative in client interactions, business-development discussions, and proposal presentations • Foster relationships with global clinical operations teams and serve as Leading Physician for Phase I–IV clinical trials • Provide medical monitoring oversight, including safety review and contributions to protocol development, study design, endpoints, and eligibility criteria • Contribute medical therapeutic-area and clinical-trial subject-matter expertise across regional or global programs • Interact with clients’ medical teams, project teams, key opinion leaders, principal investigators, and sites • Support business development by shaping clinical/medical strategy for proposals, bid defenses, and client discussions • Oversee medical monitoring activities, timelines, quality of medical deliverables, and physician resource assignments • Serve as Global Lead, Regional, or Program Project Physician across multiple indications as required • Contribute to medical strategy and study/program execution • Review and revise protocols, case report forms, training materials, project-specific tools, analysis plans, clinical trial reports, and new drug applications • Prepare materials for and participate in investigator meetings and assist at site initiation visits • Provide medical and scientific expertise to project teams • Travel occasionally to sponsor meetings, investigator meetings, and scientific or industry conferences • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• MD Degree • Board Certification in Internal Medicine • Specialization in Rheumatology and broader therapeutic experience in autoimmune diseases (AID) • 3+ years of substantial knowledge of drug development and extensive clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical/CRO industry or as a clinical trial investigator • Strong scientific communication and client-facing capabilities, including presenting scientific expertise, supporting proposals, and strengthening external partnerships • Full professional proficiency in English • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf • Regular and consistent attendance • Varied hours may be required • Occasional national and international travel required • Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including frequent stationary work, repetitive hand movements, bending/twisting, and lifting 15–20 lbs • Preferred: Specific expertise in cell and gene therapy in autoimmune diseases (AID) • Preferred: Industry experience inclusive of clinical trials medical monitoring experience or other relevant clinical development/trial experience at a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or regulatory agency
