📋 Description

• Architect and develop systems, tools, and agents leveraging foundational AI models • Translate high-level business problems into functional AI solutions through end-to-end implementations • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs integrating AI-powered features • Implement scalable, reliable backend architecture for AI workflows, automation, and data processing pipelines • Integrate AI services with microservices, AWS, and Snowflake data systems • Build experimentation frameworks enabling rapid test-and-learn cycles and iterative deployment • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers • Evaluate AI ecosystem frameworks, tools, and new AI capabilities • Document backend system designs, APIs, workflows, and integration patterns • Develop proof-of-concept solutions addressing business problems and opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline • Demonstrated experience as a backend software engineer with strong programming skills • Python preferred; Ruby or Go is a plus • Ability to design and develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed services • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, platforms, container orchestration, and deployment pipelines • Strong knowledge of foundational model providers, AI APIs, data pipelines, and orchestration frameworks • Practical expertise integrating third-party AI services and managing complex dependencies in multi-stack environments • Ability to rapidly prototype and iteratively develop solutions • Excellent communication skills for technical and business stakeholders • Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, Langchain, vector databases, or similar AI orchestration technologies preferred • Experience with automation, knowledge systems, and backend optimization related to AI-driven processes preferred • Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, and system reliability preferred • Experience building APIs and backend components for real-time or near-real-time AI applications preferred • Authorized to work for any employer in Canada • Must not require current or future sponsorship to work in Canada
