📋 Description

• Perform Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), including spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusion studies • Assess and monitor patients with asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and other respiratory disorders • Support oxygen therapy assessments and education • Educate patients on inhaler techniques, oxygen use, and respiratory care plans • Monitor adherence to respiratory therapies and provide follow-up support • Develop individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with the care team • Work closely with family physicians, specialists, and allied health staff • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR • Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives • Maintain and calibrate respiratory diagnostic equipment • Support inventory management for respiratory and sleep therapy supplies • Provide hands-on respiratory care to patients in their homes

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) • Current BCLS certification • Experience with pulmonary function testing • Strong patient education and communication skills • Proficient with EMR systems • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team • Experience in outpatient or clinic-based respiratory care (preferred) • COPD, asthma education, and chronic disease management experience (preferred) • Experience working with patients in-home (preferred)
