📋 Description

• Design and implement complex, high-impact features that increase business value • Drive architectural decisions, simplify implementations, improve performance, and establish organization-wide patterns • Investigate and evaluate new technologies and define the technical platform and stack • Prototype solutions and deliver proof-of-concepts • Own production excellence through issue identification, monitoring standards, and performance, scale, and availability goals • Coordinate technical initiatives spanning multiple domains with principal engineers • Establish software development best practices, coding standards, system design patterns, and integration approaches • Lead Architecture Decision Record processes and align technical standards • Advise senior leadership on development goals, progress, and strategic direction • Collaborate with the dev lead to define Product, QA, and Development processes, checkpoints, and release cadence • Train and mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and formal training • Establish code review standards, branching strategies, and software development methodologies • Serve as the go-to expert for complex technical challenges across teams • Improve developer experience and productivity with the Internal Developer Platform • Establish performance, scale, and availability metrics and standards • Evaluate and integrate third-party technologies into the Fullbay stack • Define engineering processes and frameworks • Contribute to FinOps initiatives and AWS cost optimization strategies • Adhere to confidentiality and compliance regulations and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in software design and development • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, distributed systems • Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions across the organization • Experience collaborating with Product Management and QA teams • Knowledge of modern software design, coding methodologies, and development best practices • Experience evaluating and comparing third-party technologies and making build-versus-buy decisions • Knowledge of Product Management and testing methodologies • Ability to create engineering development processes and frameworks • Ability to tailor communication for leadership, peers, and software engineers • Knowledge and experience improving software performance, scale, and availability • Experience with TypeScript, React, Java, Quarkus, Node.js, Go, AWS, GraphQL, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Step Functions, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, microservices, event-driven systems, serverless architecture, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, and AI-enhanced development tools
