📋 Description

• Lead the Patient Experience pod and set technical direction in a complex, evolving domain • Contribute hands-on to system design, coding, code reviews, prototyping, and difficult technical problems • Evolve architecture and lead design discussions spanning product, engineering, data, and clinical considerations • Help evolve patient experiences toward a longitudinal, person-centric model of care • Build systems combining clinical data, behavioral signals, and real-world patient context • Balance speed, quality, reliability, safety, and trust in technical decisions • Bring structure and momentum to ambiguous problems • Establish high standards for technical and product quality • Create an environment combining psychological safety with accountability • Develop engineers through coaching, pairing, feedback, technical debate, and hands-on collaboration • Partner with Product, Design, Clinical, Data, and Engineering leaders • Influence broader technical direction as Care Mode and patient experiences become foundational to the platform • Champion patient trust, practitioner workflows, and long-term system health

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience building and leading software products end-to-end, from early concepts through iteration and operation at scale • Multiple years of engineering management experience • Commitment to people leadership while remaining deeply technical and close to the work • Track record of owning difficult, non-obvious technical problems with meaningful product and user impact • Experience building and operating high-scale applications • Strong technical judgment and ability to communicate why decisions matter • Strong product instincts and ability to connect engineering decisions to user experience • Deep experience building successful consumer-facing web and/or mobile products • Experience building consumer experiences that drive sustained engagement through timely, relevant, personalized, or context-aware interactions • Fluency with modern AI-assisted engineering workflows and tools • Strong instincts around responsiveness, fast feedback loops, perceived performance, and intuitive software design • Experience designing for users who may be overwhelmed, disengaged, or uncertain • Experience with React, React Native, Rails, GraphQL, and Apollo • Experience in regulated, safety-sensitive, or high-trust domains is valued • Track record of raising quality bars is valued • Bachelor’s degree or other educational credential is not explicitly required
