📋 Description
• Develop an in-depth understanding of generator design principles and construction techniques. • Stay updated with the latest advancements and technologies in generator systems. • Master various generator inspection procedures, including visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and performance testing. • Perform a range of tests on generators, such as insulation resistance tests, winding resistance tests, and performance tests, including both low voltage and high voltage (>600V ac/dc) tasks. • Diagnose generator faults and determine the root cause of issues. • Execute repair work on generators, including winding repairs and stator/rotor repairs. • Travel to customer sites to provide on-site support for generator installation, maintenance, and warranty work. • Identify and resolve technical issues with generators in a timely manner.
🎯 Requirements
• Technical Degree/Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with a 3.0 or higher GPA; or a High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years of experience in Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance. • Experience using electrical test equipment including Megohmmeters, Hipot test sets, Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeters, and Multimeters. • Ability and willingness to travel (Up to 80%) to and from projects and various field assignments and willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. • Ability to obtain unescorted security clearance at nuclear power facilities. • Valid Canadian Driver’s License and Canadian passport.
