📋 Description

• Design exceptional technical systems from first principles, including technical risks, security, happy paths, edge cases, and milestones • Build agents, subagents, software, and workflows that increase AI-assisted implementation • Own ambiguous products end-to-end from discovery and technical design through architecture, implementation, verification, and production • Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows that create engineering leverage • Build systems and tools that increase the output of the wider engineering team • Share knowledge and improve engineering workflows • Challenge the roadmap and identify new technical opportunities and product problems • Contribute to product and technical direction • Increase engineering delivery velocity and help shape Genie’s AI-first engineering practices • Independently design and ship sophisticated AI-native systems • Lead technical decisions within the role’s area

🎯 Requirements

• Exceptional systems thinking and ability to design excellent solutions from first principles • Deeply AI-native engineering experience • Experience building agents/subagents, internal developer tooling, MCPs or other agent/tool interfaces, and automated development workflows • Experience orchestrating multiple agents • Exceptional hands-on engineering ability from zero through architecture, implementation, and production • Strong product instinct and ability to question assumptions and identify opportunities • Outstanding communication skills for explaining sophisticated technical concepts simply • Senior hands-on individual contributor profile • Ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing startup environment • Ability to create clarity from ambiguity and challenge established thinking
