📋 Description

• Clinically review lab results issued through Maple and assign appropriate follow-up recommendations • Identify abnormal or critical results and determine the urgency of follow-up care • Contact patients directly when critical results require immediate emergency care • Escalate complex cases to physicians when appropriate • Support specialist referrals based on clinical directives, including preparing referral documentation and required forms • Assign referrals to appropriate specialist clinics based on patient location, clinical need and specialty • Redirect referrals when clinics are unresponsive or decline referrals • Review specialist consult reports and determine whether patient follow-up is required • Support additional workstreams based on scheduling and operational needs • Work independently and use clinical judgment to support Maple’s labs and referrals operations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) • Current registration and good standing with a Canadian provincial or territorial nursing college • No active malpractice investigations • Professional liability coverage in place • Experience in a patient-facing clinical setting; primary care, medical-surgical or emergency care preferred • Strong clinical judgment and confidence reviewing lab results and specialist documentation • Ability to work independently in a remote, technology-enabled environment • Proficiency using Mac devices and learning new digital tools quickly • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal • Strong understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements • Successful criminal record check (EPIC) and identity verification; additional employment or education verification may be conducted • French bilingual proficiency is a significant asset, but not required
