📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day EHS support for service and large project site activities across Hydro in the United States • Develop relationships with operational and project managers to drive EHS culture • Support sites in complying with regulatory and GE requirements and understanding contractual EHS requirements • Conduct audits according to the business audit plan and drive improvements • Manage the chemistry Safety Data Sheet databank for the United States • Conduct site and work-method inspections to ensure safety procedures, protective equipment, and safety devices are properly used • Drive continuous improvement in EHS programs across sites • Support hiring and manage and develop site-based EHS staff • Review and evaluate high-hazard programs and recommend improvements • Support accreditation maintenance across assigned sites • Increase use of digital programs and tools across assigned sites • Conduct tender reviews and assess EHS requirements and risks • Evaluate safety and environmental risks during bidding and work • Investigate accidents and hazardous situations, identify trends and causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions • Deliver EHS training to assigned site populations • Ensure accurate and timely internal and external EHS reporting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related EHS field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Professional certification such as CHST, ASP or CSP preferred • 8+ years EHS experience, with exposure to several EHS areas in a Projects or Services environment • Knowledge of Oil and Gas, Electrification or Energy business • Knowledge of OSHA and state-specific regulatory requirements • Documented 24 hours of safety-related education for each of the last three to five years • OSHA 30 or higher within the last 5 years preferred • Ability to work on government projects • Ability to travel up to 70%, as required • Proven track record working and managing field service sites • Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong leadership and influencing skills • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing priorities • High energy and self-starter mindset • Practical experience in risk elimination, ergonomics, and project management related to high-hazard tasks • Trainer qualifications in CPR/First Aid/AED, Confined Space Rescue, and Forklift Trainer • EM 385 knowledge • Six Sigma Greenbelt trained/certified (GE Employees only)
