📋 Description

• Serve as the primary on-call technical point of contact for emergency response and critical system failures • Troubleshoot, maintain, and provide technical guidance for AC Substation equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and control infrastructure • Support Substation Control and Protection systems, SCADA communication architectures, DFR event reports, and protection relay schemes • Assist in developing normal, emergency, switching, clearance, temporary earthing, and equipment maintenance procedures • Mentor and train customer personnel and deliver formal training programs • Ensure contractor-provided documentation reflects current site as-built designs • Ensure scheduled maintenance is completed according to the Annual Work Plan • Review spare-part inventories and specifications and support inspection and testing • Monitor substation performance data, identify potential failure modes, and provide system health diagnostics • Advise customer management and liaise with GE Vernova regional engineering centers • Champion EHS standards and mitigate high-voltage risks on-site

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related technical discipline • 5 years of experience supervising high-voltage substations • Minimum of 5 years of proven field experience • Be available for work on project sites in US • Strong field leadership and decision-making • Ability to read and interpret SLD, general arrangement drawing, installation and commissioning procedures • Strong understanding of EHS requirements for high-voltage project sites • Excellent coordination and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces simultaneously • High attention to safety, quality, and detail • Practical problem-solving in construction environments • Ability to work under schedule pressure while maintaining standards
