📋 Description

• Serve as the primary on-call technical point of contact for emergency response, troubleshooting, and outage restoration • Act as the on-site technical authority for AC Substation equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and control infrastructure • Support Substation Control and Protection systems, SCADA communication architectures, DFR event reports, and protection relay schemes • Assist in developing normal, emergency, switching, clearance, temporary earthing, and equipment maintenance procedures • Provide mentorship and hands-on training to customer personnel and develop formal training programs • Ensure scheduled maintenance is executed according to the Annual Work Plan and improve work methods • Review spare-part lists, inventories, and specifications and support inspection and testing • Monitor substation performance data, identify potential failure modes, and provide system health diagnostics • Advise customer management and facilitate communication between the site and GE Vernova engineering centers • Champion EHS standards and mitigate high-voltage risks on site

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related technical discipline • 5 years of experience supervising high-voltage substations • Minimum of 5 years of proven field experience • Be available for work on project sites in US • Strong field leadership and decision-making • Ability to read and interpret SLD, general arrangement drawing, installation and commissioning procedures • Strong understanding of EHS requirements for high-voltage project sites • Excellent coordination and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple contractors and interfaces simultaneously • High attention to safety, quality, and detail • Practical problem-solving in construction environments • Ability to work under schedule pressure while maintaining standards
