📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of large, high-visibility, potentially high-risk projects and first-of-a-kind solutions for the Electrical Substation and FACTS markets • Serve as the single point of contact for senior-level customers and internal/external project teams • Lead project strategy, planning, resource direction, and process control for complex work-scope projects • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and technical/engineering standards • Estimate project budgets, track and influence costs, and ensure on-time, on-budget completion • Engage in pre-contract scope, schedule, and cost development as required • Coordinate project development, implementation, and control with engineering fields and support functions • Coach Project Specialists, Project Managers, and Engineers to enhance project management skills • Coordinate project specifications and requirements with providers, subcontractors, and customers • Ensure site safety procedures and adherence to quality standards • Develop subcontractor work scopes and coordinate written contract administration • Resolve issues through change management and ensure timely collection of monies • Facilitate project performance quantification and documentation after completion • Determine and communicate work-package completion and commitment percentages for estimate-at-completion forecasting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college • Minimum 8 years experience in project management of electrical substations or relevant experience to the role • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time, potentially including international travel • Must comply with company travel and tax policies • Experience in Synchronous Condensers, STATCOMS, and Fixed Series Capacitors preferred • Prior experience managing high voltage electrical utility projects • Experience managing projects or programs spanning development and design through manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and test acceptance • Ability to manage external, customer-facing projects to successful completion • Ability to apply advanced technical, engineering, and quality assurance concepts • Experience working with global teams and partners • Ability to interface with executive-level management • Ability to apply and coach managerial and leadership concepts and techniques • Strong decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously • PMI/PMP certification preferred • Familiarity with modern project management techniques and software systems, including global resource planning systems and Primavera project management software • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities • Familiarity with contractual terms and experience managing customer-facing contracts • Familiarity with preparing proposals for complex substations, including international work and quality training • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
