• Determine client requirements for medical equipment to support the medical practice needs for all facility spaces. • Develop equipment planning documents. • Conduct client/user interviews and meetings to refine and modify equipment planning documents. • Provide project specific medical equipment information to design team. • Analyze master plan, space program and/or schematic design documents to determine medical equipment requirements. • Maintain equipment planning database and resource library. • Develop equipment specifications for contractor-furnished medical equipment. • Review shop drawings for contractor-furnished medical equipment.
• BS/BA or equivalent with technical emphasis (engineering, electronics, nursing, physics) preferred. • Prior significant experience with medical equipment in a healthcare setting required. • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in one of three areas: Nursing (hospital setting), Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, or Medical Equipment Planning. • Minimum 5 years hands-on medical equipment planning experience. • Previous experience with the architectural design process strongly desired. • Word processing and spreadsheet skills preferred. • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience a plus.
