• Provides guidance on performance management, employment law, and termination matters • Conducts workplace investigations into complaints of harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination, and fraud/theft • Analyzes investigation findings and evaluates risk to provide recommendations • Supports and advises on performance management, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodations • Advises on disciplinary and termination situations • Prepares investigation files and assists with settlement preparation • Designs and facilitates presentations and seminars on HR topics • Produces tasks and documentation to fulfill standard practices • Reviews current processes to find gaps and opportunities.
• Some college or university in Human Resources (HR) field • 1+ years in Employee Relations and/or HR role • Working toward CHRP or equivalent • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite • Intermediate listening and written skills • Verbal and interpersonal skills • Intermediate ability to consistently keep information confidential • Up to date and knowledgeable about employment legislation, codes, standards, current best practices and human resources trends across Canada.
