📋 Description

• Produce positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market • Manage an average of 40–45 current accounts with an average of $2M in annual business • Use Salesforce CRM to perform daily business activities • Report to the District Sales Manager • Understand customer goals and respond to changing customer needs • Use market data and resources to respond to developments in customers’ businesses • Oversee managed inventory support tasks to improve customer understanding, increase contacts and increase sales • Provide solutions based on Grainger’s Value Proposition to grow profitable sales • Develop account penetration strategies and conduct regular business reviews for essential customers • Travel to customer sites within the Ottawa/Gatineau territory

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required • 2+ years direct outside sales experience, or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience, required • Sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning • Travel to each customer within the aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently where needed • Process discipline and ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue • Ability to utilize the sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns and determine appropriate solutions • Bilingualism in English and French is required • Ability to attend customer sites and adhere to applicable health and safety requirements, including PPE requirements where applicable • May be required to submit to customer alcohol and drug screening procedures • Pre-employment background checks are required for all external candidates
