📋 Description

• Manage monthly close processes, including reconciliations, supporting schedules, financial analysis, quality review, and financial reporting. • Apply accrual basis accounting to enter and review transactions, resolve variances, and manage the general ledger. • Utilize, train, and implement cloud-based accounting tools such as Bill.com, Expensify, and other platforms used by government contractors. • Coordinate engagement phases with supervisors or managers, review workpapers, and maintain clear client communication. • Provide oversight and coaching to staff accountants, including guidance, feedback, and professional development support. • Assist clients with financial statements, government contracting requirements, indirect rate calculations, and cost accounting standards. • Ensure deliverables comply with applicable accounting standards and firm protocols. • Maintain client relationships and deliver responsive, high-quality service.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting or private industry, with progressive responsibility. • Experience with government contractors strongly preferred. • Prior CPA firm experience is a plus. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Unanet required or strongly preferred. • Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Bill.com, Expensify, or similar platforms. • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance is a plus but not required. • Ability to manage competing priorities across diverse client accounts. • Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism. • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to being a collaborative team member.
