📋 Description

• Own the technical direction of Ground News web properties focused on user growth and subscription revenue • Lead the migration of the marketing technology stack from Unbounce, likely to Framer, and establish guardrails • Own the web experimentation program end-to-end • Drive web performance, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals for a consumer property serving millions of readers • Provide senior technical guidance in code reviews and architecture across the frontend chapter • Establish safe rollout practices on Flightcontrol for revenue-critical surfaces • Enable marketing and growth teammates to ship landing-page changes, modals, and pricing experiments without engineering support

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building production web applications • 3+ years at a senior or staff individual-contributor level • Quantifiable track record of growing a user base or revenue from a web property • Deep hands-on expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript • Experience running A/B or multivariate experiments end-to-end, including hypothesis framing, sample sizing, measurement, and results analysis • Direct experience inside or alongside a CRO function • Fluency with marketing technology tooling such as Unbounce, Framer, Webflow, or similar • Experience with PostHog, Amplitude, or Segment • Experience building trustworthy funnel instrumentation from scratch • Experience with feature flagging, monitoring, and rollback discipline on revenue-critical production surfaces • Willingness to travel occasionally to the Kitchener, Ontario headquarters and company-wide All Hands meetups • Legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer
