📋 Description

• Technical strategy for Ground News' web properties, with a direct mandate on user growth and subscription revenue. • The marketing-tech stack (currently Unbounce, likely migrating to Framer): you'll lead that migration and set the guardrails. • The web experimentation program end-to-end. • Web performance, accessibility, SEO, and Core Web Vitals for a consumer property serving millions of readers. • Senior voice in code review and architecture across the frontend chapter. • Safe rollout practices on Flightcontrol for revenue-critical surfaces.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years building production web applications, with 3+ years at a senior or staff IC level. • Deep, hands-on expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You’ve built and shipped at scale. • A specific, quantifiable track record of growing user base or revenue from a web property. • Hands-on experience running A/B or multivariate experiments end-to-end: hypothesis framing, sample sizing, clean measurement, honest read of results. • Direct experience working inside or alongside a CRO function, fluent in marketing-tech tooling (Unbounce, Framer, Webflow, or similar). • Experience with PostHog, Amplitude, or Segment, and building trustworthy funnel instrumentation from scratch. • Experience shipping to production on revenue-critical surfaces with feature flagging, monitoring, and rollback discipline.
