📋 Description

• Build and operate backend services moving data from warehouse queries to downstream systems • Improve event handling, query execution, result transformation, and delivery coordination • Investigate customer problems, identify solutions, and test and measure outcomes • Build and maintain APIs and integrations across major cloud data warehouses • Support the product’s move toward real-time capabilities • Participate in the platform team’s on-call rotation and respond to production issues • Restore service, communicate with stakeholders, and improve reliability and incident resolution • Fix correctness, performance, reliability, security, and operability problems • Build shared components, automation, documentation, and tools • Support engineers through code reviews, context sharing, mentoring, communication, and follow-through • Leverage AI tools daily and help build ML and agentic products

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of production coding experience • Strong foundation in Python • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment • Deep experience designing, building, and maintaining services, including end-to-end ownership and on-call • Experience with backend-heavy systems and distributed architectures • Experience with GCP or AWS • Experience building for reliability, security, and observability at scale • Experience using frontier technology such as AI agents • Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and change
