📋 Description

• Handle legal matters assigned by the Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Affairs. • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts with customers and suppliers in both French and English. • Depending on experience, lead the structuring, drafting, review, negotiation, and completion of commercial and corporate transactions. • Create and maintain French and English agreement templates applicable in Québec. • Collaborate with the Legal, Compliance, and cross-functional teams to advise internal clients and support Harris’s growth. • Represent the needs of business units with customers, suppliers, and partners; collaborate with external legal counsel during negotiations and dispute resolution. • Monitor legal trends and risks related to the Québec and federal legislative and regulatory environments. • Participate in developing and enhancing compliance programs related to public contracts and the protection of personal information.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B. or equivalent) from a recognized law school. • Admission to the Québec Bar and membership in good standing, with authorization to practise law in Québec. • Three to five years of experience in commercial or technology law in Québec, either at a recognized law firm or as in-house counsel. • Ability to work independently with business units and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision. • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously. • Ability to analyze complex situations and data to assess risks, impacts, and next steps, while demonstrating curiosity and creativity in resolving a variety of issues. • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with an interest in being part of a close-knit legal team. • Knowledge of SaaS solutions, hosting, software licensing agreements, and Québec contract and obligations law. • Excellent spoken and written French and English. • Knowledge of applicable Québec and federal privacy laws, including Law 25.
