📋 Description

• Provide technical direction and guidance for product development and support services throughout the organization • Establish KPIs and metrics to assess R&D initiatives and provide regular reports and updates to senior management • Own the technology roadmap for product development • Manage allocation of budget, personnel, and infrastructure • Manage, mentor, and coach R&D team members • Lead end-to-end project management from planning through delivery • Coordinate cross-functional teams on scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies • Own R&D planning, execution tracking, risk management, and status reporting • Act as the primary interface between the R&D team and executive leadership • Provide input on R&D strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with business priorities and software development innovation • Collaborate with the executive team on departmental budgeting, forecasting, and return on investment • Travel as needed, approximately 1–2 trips per year to South Korea

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience • 10+ years of experience in software development • 5+ years of experience in project or program management • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role • Bilingual English and Korean • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously • Demonstrated experience managing people and leading cross-functional team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to balance delivery accountability with people leadership responsibilities • Flexibility to travel for on-site visits to the R&D office as needed • Current, valid passport and legal eligibility to travel internationally • Passport-based visa exemption or required travel visas for entry into South Korea • Comfortable using AI-enabled technologies, including copilots, chat-based AI assistants, and automation tools • Preference for candidates who can work in Korean Standard Time timezone
