📋 Description

• Root-cause voice AI failures and ship fixes into Hatch's core product • Trace agent spans, tool-call arguments, application logs, and warehouse queries to identify defects • Push production code to the voice pipeline and integration layer • Gate risky changes behind feature flags and validate fixes on live traffic • Build direct API integrations, webhook endpoints, event-driven triggers, and CRM and scheduling connectors • Reconcile client business needs with actual API responses • Build local simulators, production-call replay harnesses, behavioral test suites, spans, metrics, and dashboards • Work on prompt structure, guardrails, model comparisons, latency, cost, quality, context budgets, rate limits, and tool-calling reliability • Own technically complex client onboardings end-to-end • Serve as the primary technical consultant for clients • Handle multi-system orchestrations, custom business logic, and CRMs without existing connectors • Participate in potential onsite visits to present architectural solutions and support deployments • Turn implementation learnings into reusable product capabilities • Build first-class native solutions and hand them off to R&D teams

🎯 Requirements

• 1–4 years of software engineering experience • Ability to debug broken production interactions and determine root causes • Ability to navigate a broad technology ecosystem and comprehensive developer documentation • Ability to distinguish changes belonging in core code, middleware, or automation tooling • Experience verifying fixes against real production data • Strong communication with business and technical audiences • Ability to resolve ambiguous requirements before building • Ability to provide clear, proactive status updates • Ability to use AI coding tools while owning correctness • Experience with voice AI is not required • Experience shipping LLMs into a real application is a bonus • Knowledge of prompt design, tool calling, orchestration, and evals is a bonus • Familiarity with the voice stack is a plus and learnable on the job • Must be located in the United States • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. • Must disclose whether employment visa sponsorship will be required
