📋 Description

• Automate the server lifecycle end to end, including provisioning, OS installs, configuration, hardware validation, and decommissioning • Build and maintain fleet-interaction tooling so engineers do not hand-configure machines repeatedly • Standardize software build and deployment to machines through CI pipelines, artifacts, deployment tooling, and rollbacks • Execute security roadmap initiatives including SSO-integrated access, jump hosts, secrets management, least-privilege access, and audit trails • Analyze fleet costs, including cost per workload, provider comparisons, and hardware refresh decisions, and make recommendations • Improve infrastructure observability and participate in on-call and incident response • Write runbooks and documentation for a remote team • Work on the Platform team supporting Helius's bare-metal global edge network and high-performance services

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering • Hands-on bare metal experience, including provisioning and managing physical servers (PXE, IPMI/BMC, RAID, NICs) • Experience with colo or dedicated-server providers • Experience debugging hardware versus software issues • Deep Linux fundamentals, including systemd, networking, storage, and performance tuning • Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Nix) • Solid scripting or programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, or similar • Security mindset covering access, blast radius, and secrets • Rust experience or interest in reading and debugging Rust services (nice to have) • High-performance networking or low-latency systems experience (nice to have) • Familiarity with ClickHouse, Prometheus, or Grafana (nice to have) • Experience at a high-scale B2B infrastructure company (nice to have)
