📋 Description

• Own the order of mental health provider search results to maximize successful patient-provider matches • Set the strategy for search, retrieval, and ranking • Align engineering, data science, design, clinical, and executive stakeholders • Run the experimentation program end to end, including hypotheses, objective functions, guardrail metrics, and readouts • Build data, evaluation, and ML platform foundations for future matching work • Partner daily with ML engineers and data scientists on model objectives, features, and evaluation • Carry ranking priorities across patient experience, provider growth, clinical quality, and payer partnerships • Resolve competing marketplace priorities between patient access and provider caseload growth • Establish the standard for technically grounded product work across the PM team

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience • Hands-on ownership of search, ranking, recommendations, or marketplace matching at scale • Experience shipping ML ranking or relevance systems to real users • Experience with objective function design, feature development, and offline vs. online evaluation • Ability to hold architecture conversations with ML engineers • Ability to challenge modeling assumptions and make informed build-vs-buy decisions • Experience with marketplace trade-offs and opportunity allocation • Fluency in embeddings, semantic search, and LLM-powered products • Experience presenting strategy to executives and addressing difficult questions • Motivation by Headway’s mission of making mental healthcare accessible and affordable • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
