• Execute tasks related to vegetation management • Safely operate various small equipment including loppers, pole saws, leaf blowers, and chainsaws for maintenance purposes • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment, maintaining detailed logs • Adhere strictly to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols • Report any safety concerns promptly to team leads or relevant personnel, fostering a culture of open communication • Contribute to a zero-injury environment by actively engaging in safety programs, meetings, and training sessions • Undertake additional vegetation and maintenance duties as needed, maintaining consistent standards • Gather for a safety briefing at the yard • Conduct thorough checks of equipment and vehicles, documenting findings • Travel to designated utility structures, confirming locations • Utilize digital tools for structure assessment and documentation • Notify customers as necessary • Gain access to structures safely • Inspect structures and capture required documentation digitally • Assess vegetation compliance and update work management systems accordingly • Perform necessary clearance around structures, documenting all work performed • Remove excess brush and dispose of it appropriately • Ensure accurate documentation and synchronization of records
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years • Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record • Be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen • Be able to successfully complete a background check • 1 year of experience in vegetation management or landscaping (preferred) • Have a general understanding of PRC 4292 (preferred) • Experience in Structure Brushing or similar program (preferred) • Proficiency in GIS based applications, data entry, mobile applications (preferred) • Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI standards (preferred) • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred) • Completion of ICS-100 Introduction to ICS course (preferred) • S-130 Firefighter Training completion (preferred) • IS-700/IS700a NIMS: An introduction certification (preferred) • RT-130 Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher including fire shelter (preferred) • S-212 Wildland Fire Chain Saws Training (preferred)
