📋 Description

• Provide a full range of legal advice and services • Support Humana’s senior-focused primary care operations and merger & acquisition activity • Advise on fraud, waste, and abuse laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and Beneficiary Inducement Statute, as applied to CenterWell Primary Care delivery and operations • Assist with health care regulatory diligence for potential merger & acquisition activity • Coordinate and address legal issues during post-closing integration • Collaborate and consult with company leaders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Protect the company against external risk • Advise executives on significant, often segment-specific, functional strategies • Exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex legal issues

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited school law school • 5–10 years of relevant experience • Active membership in a state bar association • Strong legal writing and analytical skills • Ability to work independently under general supervision and in team settings • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences • Experience in Medicare, Medicaid, or similar regulatory work • Demonstrated knowledge of Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage • Demonstrated knowledge of health care provider operations • Merger & acquisition experience • Familiarity with Medicare risk adjustment and related billing and coding requirements • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for home work • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
