📋 Description

• Serve as a key customer-facing technical contact for customer IT and EMR teams • Lead end-to-end design and deployment of 278R EDI, 275 EDI, RESTful API, and file-based integrations • Design, build, and optimize data mapping schemas between customer systems and Humata Health platforms • Manage B2B VPN tunnels, IP whitelisting, and security credential provisioning • Perform payload-level debugging of JSON, XML, and EDI data • Build SQL scripts for migration validation, data integrity checks, and root cause analysis • Use packet tracing and VPN diagnostic tools to troubleshoot connectivity issues • Develop automated integration validation tests using tools such as Postman Collections and Newman CLI • Monitor production data flows and configure alerts for integration failures • Create and maintain sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and API schema documentation • Document VPN configurations, encryption protocols, and authentication flows • Define standardized error handling frameworks, response formats, and retry logic • Provide technical guidance on EMR connectivity, authorization workflow data normalization, and HIPAA-compliant data handling • Contribute product feedback on APIs, integration tooling, and debugging utilities • Collaborate with engineering teams on reusable integration frameworks and middleware components such as Mirth Connect channels • Mentor junior technical implementation specialists

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field • 5–7+ years of hands-on integration engineering experience, with direct ownership of EDI and API implementations in a healthcare environment • Deep expertise with EDI X12 standards, specifically 278R transactions and 275 attachments • Advanced SQL proficiency, including CTEs, window functions, and ETL data validation workflows • Hands-on experience with interface engines; strong preference for Mirth Connect or comparable platforms • Expert knowledge of REST API protocols, OAuth2, Basic Auth, API keys, JSON Schema, XSD, rate limiting, pagination, and error handling • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems including Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth • Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting B2B VPNs, SSL certificates, mutual TLS, AES-256, SHA-256 hashing, and data encryption protocols • Experience with Wireshark, OpenVPN, and tcpdump • Understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and data privacy/security compliance frameworks • Experience with Postman, Newman, and Swagger Inspector • Experience with healthcare prior authorization workflows, utilization management, and revenue cycle operations • Experience with event-driven architectures such as webhooks and Kafka • Familiarity with PowerBI, Looker, or equivalent tools • Contributions to technical enablement, including reusable Postman collections, internal knowledge bases, and data mapping templates • Ability to mentor junior technical implementation specialists • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required, up to 25% • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status
