📋 Description
• Review architectural and engineering drawings (plans, elevations, sections, specifications, and schedules). • Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs for materials, finishes, and labor. • Develop and maintain cost estimates and budgets for residential construction projects. • Assist with sourcing and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes. • Update and maintain costing databases and project documentation. • Communicate effectively with the builder’s team to clarify design details and ensure estimates align with project scope. • Provide general virtual support related to estimation, documentation, and reporting.
🎯 Requirements
• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. • Proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in residential construction. • Strong understanding of construction plans, materials, and finishes. • Proficiency in takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Buildxact, or similar). • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
