📋 Description

• Design and prepare substation protection and control drawings • Develop substation relay one-lines and three-lines • Prepare AC/DC schematics • Create substation panel layouts • Prepare substation wiring diagrams and cable schedules • Create SCADA and communication diagrams • Create point-to-point wiring diagrams • Coordinate with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables • Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables • Apply client standards to the work • Perform and ensure company QA/QC processes are followed on all design packages • Continuously improve job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance • Work under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead on high-voltage substation projects from 12kV to 500kV

🎯 Requirements

• AA or High School Diploma • Experience with substation (transmission) design • 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience, developing single lines, schematics and relay panels • 3+ years of experience working with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation • Understanding of AC/DC control diagrams to accurately perform point to point wiring requirements • Ability to assist lead engineers with initial design requirements • Advanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Word • Knowledge of practical applications of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, blueprints, and drawings • Position can only be performed in the United States
