📋 Description

• Assist engineering teams with Substation Protection and Control (P&C) projects • Create and modify detailed CAD drawings of substations from engineer-provided sketches or specifications • Develop one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, three-line diagrams, communications drawings, and panel front views • Prepare construction and demolition drawing submission packages according to project standards • Assist with quality checks on final drawings and layouts • Set up and organize project drawing files and schedules • Maintain and update CAD document archives and ensure accurate file management • Support engineers with shop drawing reviews and project coordination tasks • Provide basic CAD-related technical support

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Design/Drafting, Engineering Technology, or relevant CAD Certifications • 0-1 years of experience in drafting or related fields; entry-level candidates with strong technical training will be considered • Experience with AutoCAD or similar applications • Design or modeling skills and/or knowledge of design principles and practices • Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Access • Preferred: 2-5+ years of substation drafting experience • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision • Ability to work productively from home without direct supervision • Basic understanding of drafting concepts
