📋 Description

• Design and implement new features for InfluxDB 3, including Import/Export, Data Transformation Pipelines, and WebUI integration • Debug and fix production issues, including performance bottlenecks and memory leaks • Work with the platform team to improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and other operational aspects • Participate in a production on-call rotation, triaging and debugging issues • Build the next generation of InfluxDB, including columnar storage, a DataFusion-based query engine, and data transformation pipelines • Collaborate with product managers, sales, and support to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software experience • Deep knowledge of at least one of Rust, C++, or Go (Rust preferred) • Experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems in a distributed environment • Experience with high-availability, fault-tolerant systems • Proficiency working closely with product managers, sales, and support to translate customer needs into technical requirements • Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows and critique, validate, and refine AI-generated output • Experience with Python is a plus • Experience with WebAssembly is a plus • Knowledge of consensus protocols and distributed databases is a plus • Must be located in one of the listed locations: Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, the UK, or the US • Must be authorized to work in the country currently located • Must disclose whether employment visa sponsorship will be required
