📋 Description

• Mentor pre-law students through the research process, from topic selection and research question development through research design, execution, and final deliverables • Help students develop feasible, high-quality research questions aligned with their academic interests and future legal career goals • Review research plans, analyses of findings, and written research drafts, providing structured feedback • Help students understand research methodologies, academic research standards, and discipline-specific expectations • Support academic papers, research posters, or journal submissions, depending on program scope • Track student progress against established milestones and timelines

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field, such as law, legal studies, public policy, political science, or a related discipline • Demonstrated experience conducting academic or legal research • Strong background in research design, data analysis, and academic writing • Experience mentoring students or trainees • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong planning, organization, and project management skills • Genuine interest in mentoring pre-law students and supporting their academic and professional development • Candidates must be based in the United States or Canada
