📋 Description

• Partner with finance, accounting, billing, and revenue teams to translate pain points into self-serve, reliable, scalable data solutions • Mentor team members and champion engineering excellence across the organization • Manage initiatives from design through execution with substantial ownership and autonomy • Suggest and drive organization-wide initiatives shaping the financial data vision and roadmap • Own critical data integration pipelines and models for uniform, reliable, timely, and accurate financial reporting • Shape finance data systems through design, technical decisions, project management, and execution • Support monthly and quarterly book close, retailer invoicing, and internal and external financial reporting

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of working experience in a Data/Software Engineering role focused on building data pipelines specialized in financial data • Strong knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery • Strong production knowledge of Python, Airflow, Spark, Iceberg, and Delta Lake • Expert data modeling experience, including complex financial data with scalability and usability • Expert SQL and dbt (Data Build Tool) skills • Experience building high-quality, complex ETL/ELT pipelines, including accounting and billing pipelines • Experience with data immutability, auditability, slowly changing dimensions, or similar concepts • Ability to communicate fluently with cross-functional stakeholders to drive requirements and design shared datasets • Ability to balance urgency with high-quality, pragmatic solutions • Experience working with a large codebase on a cross-functional team • Experience with SOX-controlled data systems preferred • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience preferred
