📋 Description

• Design, build, and own backend services, APIs, and data integrations powering coupon merchandising • Implement and iterate on end-to-end experiments with Product and Data Science teams • Launch, measure, and refine A/B tests that move key metrics • Execute codebase and product optimizations improving reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across distributed systems • Collaborate cross-functionally to define roadmaps, success metrics, and guardrails • Communicate tradeoffs in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment • Maintain engineering standards through code reviews, testing, documentation, and architecture decisions • Partner with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver experiences across web, iOS, and Android

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development • Proficiency in at least one modern backend language and framework, such as Go, Python/Django, Flask/FastAPI, Java/Spring, Ruby/Rails, or Node.js/Express • Experience designing and operating RESTful or gRPC APIs and production microservices • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL • Knowledge of caching/NoSQL stores such as Redis and DynamoDB • Ability to write and optimize SQL • Experience collaborating with Product and Data Science on data-informed features and experiment results • Experience deploying and operating services on public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP • Experience with containers such as Docker and Kubernetes or similar orchestration • Ability to write clean, maintainable code • Strong debugging skills and solid unit/integration testing practices • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
