📋 Description

• Co-own the technical roadmap for Ads Data Solutions Engineering • Lead architecture for reusable, scalable systems across off-platform workflows, cleanrooms, taxonomy automation, and the Ads Data Solutions Platform • Modernize abstractions, testing, CI/CD, observability, and cost efficiency • Drive engineering initiatives, align stakeholders, and manage dependencies • Expand external advertising-platform integrations and build privacy-forward activation, identity, and measurement workflows • Extend cleanroom orchestration and governance tooling, reusable query templates, and partner configurations • Lead Ads Taxonomy intake automation and release workflow improvements • Support platform modernization, developer tooling, on-call, and SLO strategy • Use AI-assisted tools for design, coding, testing, and documentation; define team prompt patterns and workflows • Translate ambiguous requirements into POC, pilot, and production phases with clear SLAs/SLOs • Champion security-by-design, data governance, and GDPR/CCPA privacy compliance • Mentor engineers up to L5 and set code quality/review standards • Build partnerships across Ads Manager, Measurement Science, Data Platform, Privacy/Legal, and external platforms

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering and operating large-scale backend/data systems; typically 10+ years for this level • Experience leading cross-team projects and architectural decisions • Strong Python and one of Ruby or Go • Experience with REST/gRPC services and third-party API integrations • Experience with DBT, Airflow, Spark/Databricks, advanced SQL, and performance tuning • Snowflake and AWS experience • Experience with workflow orchestration and event-driven patterns • Experience with ad-tech/programmatic and measurement integrations • Experience with cleanrooms, identity/matching, and deconfliction • Working knowledge of GDPR/CCPA privacy and compliance practices • CI/CD, containers, testing, observability, incident readiness, and SLOs • Recent hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools • Experience defining reusable AI prompts/workflows and contributing to AI-enabled tools or automation • Ability to evaluate AI versus deterministic systems; familiarity with AI evaluation, guardrails, and security/privacy implications • Clear technical writing and stakeholder management • Ability to drive consensus and unblock execution • Currently hiring only in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia
