📋 Description

• Develop software with a direct interface to hardware, including microcode, IP-specific firmware, FPGA, and DSPs • Design and implement interfaces that abstract low-level hardware details from higher levels of software and firmware • Perform design and code reviews • Test and validate product implementations • Work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems • Contribute to custom silicon solutions during an eight-month co-op beginning January 2027

🎯 Requirements

• Current undergraduate student • Studying Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field • Knowledge of C programming and system software • Strong problem-solving abilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and influence across disciplines • Self-directed, with ownership and ability to drive issues to conclusion • General knowledge of embedded systems, digital ASIC design, and software/firmware development and testing methodology is an asset • Additional experience in C++, Rust, System C, Python, and/or Domain Specific Language modeling is preferred • Understanding of processors, servers, and system software architecture is preferred • SoC architecture, SoC subsystem architecture, IP architecture, and/or microarchitecture knowledge is preferred • Must live and work in Canada • Not eligible for Intel Immigration Sponsorship
