📋 Description
• Provide effective governance of the Wikimedia Endowment • Help grow the Endowment fund through major gift fundraising efforts • Make grantmaking decisions aligned with the Endowment’s mission
🎯 Requirements
• Must have prior fundraising or financial expertise • Must have a passion for free knowledge • Must have deep knowledge of the Wikimedia movement and must have previously served as a director of the Wikimedia Foundation Board
🏖️ Benefits
• Board members are expected to participate in some capacity with the Endowment’s fundraising efforts • Serve on one of three standing committees: Finance; Governance; or Grantmaking and Community
