📋 Description
• Become our payroll guru, with a real understanding of Canadian, US, and UK payroll standards • Collaborate with the People team, using a courteous and proactive approach to ensure our HRIS remains updated • Communicate clearly and kindly with everyone across Jane • Keep our financial data organized and our processes well-documented • Cross-train on accounts payable within Float (expense management system) • Help us find the repetitive parts of payroll and AP that AI can take off our plates
🎯 Requirements
• Strong attention to detail and organization • A high level of integrity and discretion when working with confidential and sensitive information • Real curiosity about the *why* behind the work • An eagerness to learn, seek mentorship, and start a career in accounting within tech • Some experience in payroll or accounting helps, but a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals plus a genuine willingness to learn works too • An accounting degree and/or working towards the CPA designation is an asset, not a requirement
