📋 Description

• Build and operate the core BI platform powering reporting, analytics, self-service, and AI • Own data ingestion, integration, and platform architecture • Build and maintain enterprise data models, reusable business logic, and semantic layer definitions • Establish standards for data quality, testing, governance, observability, documentation, and CI/CD • Monitor analytics platform health, identify pipeline failures and recurring issues, and implement scalable solutions • Review and certify data pipelines, data models, semantic layer definitions, and data products • Mentor Analytics Engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering or a similarly technical data analytics role • Preferably experience in a SaaS or high-tech environment • Expert-level SQL proficiency • Deep data modeling experience and ability to write performant queries • 6+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining modular production data pipelines using dbt • Comfort with production Git workflows, including branching, merging, and pull request reviews • Experience with automated data quality testing • Experience designing schemas and optimizing query performance on Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery • Experience implementing data observability platforms • Experience using AI to build and improve dbt workflows and accelerate data modeling, testing, documentation, and code development • Experience designing semantic models and enabling self-service analytics through governed datasets, reusable business logic, and trusted metric definitions • Candidates must currently live and work in Canada and be eligible to work there without employer sponsorship; Jane does not support relocation, visa sponsorship, or third-party/employer-of-record employment
