📋 Description

• Build and maintain the product analytics data foundation powering reporting, self-service, experimentation, and AI • Partner with Engineering to define, implement, and validate product instrumentation before feature releases • Design and maintain scalable dbt models transforming raw product events into trusted analytical datasets • Build semantic models, standardized business logic, governed metric definitions, and certified datasets • Power analytics and visualization platforms such as Looker, Omni, and Hex • Partner with Product Managers to translate business requirements into scalable, trusted, reusable analytical data models • Monitor product data pipelines and identify instrumentation gaps and data quality issues • Implement scalable, long-term improvements to product data quality • Improve how product data is modeled, governed, documented, and consumed • Leverage AI to accelerate analytics engineering workflows, including modeling, testing, documentation, and code development • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Growth, Analytics, and business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Product Data Analyst, Analytics Engineering, or a similarly technical data role within a SaaS or high-growth technology company • Expert-level SQL skills • Deep experience designing scalable analytical data models • Strong understanding of data architecture and query performance optimization • 6+ years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining dbt projects in production • Experience modeling behavioral product data and building event-driven analytical datasets • Experience partnering with Engineering teams on product instrumentation requirements and product event data quality • Experience with Customer Data Platforms such as Segment or RudderStack • Experience designing semantic models, reusable business logic, governed datasets, and trusted metric definitions • Experience implementing data quality testing, documentation, observability, and governance best practices • Experience with modern analytics and visualization platforms such as Looker, Omni, Hex, Sigma, or similar • Strong understanding of semantic models and governed metrics across dashboards, self-service analytics, and AI experiences • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift • Experience using AI tools such as Cursor or Claude Code • Strong communication skills and effective partnership with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and business stakeholders • Must currently live and work in Canada • Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship • Jane cannot support relocation, visa sponsorship, or employment through a third party or employer of record
