📋 Description

• Build and maintain data pipelines and datasets in Databricks and Delta Lake • Establish Bronze, Silver, and Gold medallion architecture standards • Design canonical models for core Jellyfish entities and relationships • Build and improve batch and incremental pipelines using Databricks, Airflow, Spark, and cloud object storage • Improve pipeline idempotency, scalability, observability, and recoverability • Establish data lineage, ownership, schema standards, quality checks, and discoverability • Create reliable patterns for moving curated data from Databricks into ClickHouse and other serving destinations • Collaborate with application and analytics teams on consistent downstream data definitions • Help define platform architecture and practical data engineering solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, or a comparable lakehouse platform • Understanding of partitioning, incremental processing, schema evolution, distributed execution, file formats, and performance characteristics of large analytical datasets • Strong data modeling skills, including canonical entities, relationships, grain, dimensional modeling, and platform versus consumer-specific models • Experience designing observable, retryable, idempotent, and understandable pipelines • Understanding of object storage, compute, networking, IAM, and managed data services in modern cloud data architecture • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US • Must be willing to work EST hours in the current time zone • Visa sponsorship is unavailable
