• Plan and oversee end-to-end delivery of assigned heavy civil projects, including risk identification, project planning, and contingency implementation • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope and budget, and in compliance with regulatory, environmental, and health and safety requirements • Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations and resolving issues to ensure client satisfaction • Demonstrate visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on all projects • Ensure construction meets approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, quality standards, and applicable codes • Develop and maintain construction schedules in collaboration with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates • Lead, mentor, and motivate construction teams to achieve project goals • Track, manage, and report project financials, including forecasting and billings • Manage procurement activities, including subcontractor, trade, and supplier negotiations and awards
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and extensive field-based experience in heavy civil construction • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing heavy civil construction projects, with demonstrated responsibility for schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and lead project teams in fast-paced, field-driven environments • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and collaborate effectively with superintendents, forepersons, and crews • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders through verbal, written, and electronic means • Experience on hydroelectric or hydro-related projects is considered a strong asset • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required throughout British Columbia
